Cake Cups

Who says cake need only be served in cupcake form or layered between frosting? These are some cake cups I made for my office’s holiday party. I wanted to bring something new to the table.

The red and white combination is red velvet cake with orange zest infused vanilla pastry cream. There is a shot of Grand Marnier at the bottom, which is soaked up nicely by the red velvet cake.

The chocolate combination is espresso chocolate cake and Kahlua mousse. There is a mixed shot of Godiva dark chocolate liquor and Kahlua soaked into the cake.
