Happy Little Herps! (Reptiles)

25 Aug

“Herpetology is the branch of zoology concerned with the study of amphibians (including the frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and gymnophionae) and of reptiles (including snakes, lizards, amphisbaenids, turtles, terrapins, tortoises, crocodilians, and the tuataras).

Herpetology is concerned with poikilothermic, ectothermic tetrapods. “Herps” (or sometimes “herptiles” or “herpetofauna”) exclude fish. ”  (via Wikipedia

That’s just my fancy way of saying I made cute cupcakes with little handmade fondant sculpted “herps” or reptiles on top. (Rather than have you think I made cupcakes in the shape of some ghastly STD!) There were turtles, leopard geckos, anoles, and snakes.  Oh, my!

I just wish I took better pictures. As always, time was a factor and I chose to get them to the customer on time rather than pose them up for pictures. I boxed them up and snapped as many shots as I could before I had to go. Such is life!

Turtles and Lizards and Snakes! Oh, My!
